Bowl, silver, on small foot, the sides are engraved with strapwork, scenes of a man and a woman making music, inscribed: 'Friede ernahrt' (umlaut over a; peace nourishes) and a horseman and a man on foot fighting, inscribed: 'unfriede verzahrt' (umlaut over a; conflict consumes). In a cartouche is a coronetted monogram. Pricked within the base: 'G.v.H.'.
