Maker's mark: mark in a lozenge, perhaps 'AM', interpreted by M. Wellby to be for Augustin-Médard Mention (struck on the edge of the foot)

Goblet, silver-gilt, silver and niello, the stem is formed as a putto holding up the cup in both hands, the bowl and base are partly decorated in silver and niello, with scrolling flowers and partly chased with foliage and silver-gilt. Inscribed inside base: '6th April 1926 To M.E.W. and H.S.W. from J.W. and M.S.W. 1951'.
