EDVARDUS SEYMOUR de Wanatina in Com: Bercheriensi Pharmacopola, Artis ChymicoTinctoria à se inventæ quâ cujuscunque generis Ligno Juglandis Pectines impressit Museo Ashmoleano Primitias consecravit.

Translation: :

Edward Seymour, from Wantage in Berkshire, was a pharmacist and dedicated to the museum the first fruits of his work on chemical dyes. He discovered this art, and struck permanent tints through a plank of wood from a type of walnut tree.
