GULIELMUS KINGSLEY Armiger Ecclesiæ Metropoliticæ, Cantuariensis accola, rei antiquariæ peritissimus, ex integerrimo suo in hanc Academiam affectu; Musæum istud, non tantum Libris M.S. sed multis item alijs Antiquitatum ruderibus, Regulbij ac Durarvenni repertis (in plura superstes) gratabundus ditavit.

Translation: :

William Kingsley Esq., resident near the cathedral at Canterbury and a notable antiquary, out of regard for the University, was happy to enrich this museum not only with manuscript volumes but also with ancient remains of Reculver and Canterbury.
