The subject of this large plate is from chapter 15, verse 21 of Exodus: Miriam (Maria in the Latin Vulgate version of the Bible), sister of Moses and Aaron, celebrates with music the drowning of Pharaoh’s army in the Red Sea. On the reverse the inscription reads: EXODE.XV Maria. d’Aron. Sorella pres.ifaraoni.
