ANGLO-SAXON OXFORDSHIRE

ANGLO-SAXON BURIALS FROM HEYFORD PURCELL

During the enclosure of the parish in 1801 a number of objects were found in a field near the Bicester Road at Heyford Purcell. A feature known as the Harborough Bank was being levelled when several skeletons were found together with spearheads, beads and other arefacts.
